    240 kilometers of pure cycling pleasure across North Rhine-Westphalia—along a fascinating route stretching from the idyllic Sauerland region to the impressive industrial landscape of the Ruhr area.

    The Ruhr Valley Cycle Path is one of Germany’s most diverse cycling routes, uniquely blending nature, history, and industrial heritage. Starting at the Ruhr’s source on the Ruhrkopf near Winterberg, the trail winds through picturesque forests and past shimmering lakes, historic old towns, and imposing industrial monuments, finally reaching the "Rheinorange" in Duisburg, where the Ruhr flows into the Rhine.

    The Ruhrpottpension Am Stöter is located roughly halfway along the Ruhr Valley Cycle Path, which runs from its source in Winterberg to its confluence with the Rhine in Duisburg.
